Please write (type) a brief description about each of the following before class on Weds:
Reconstruction
Sharecropping
Jim Crow Laws
Civil Rights
Segragation

In addition, please complete the handout "About the Characters"  & complete the comprehension questions for Chapter 1 (1-5). Also you will be responsible for the vocabulary words provided in Ch 1 (Admonish - Imperious).

Finally, we will have our Prefix quiz on Friday - Intra (within, inside) Inter (between, among)

Due March 10th

Students should complete a theme statement and write 4-5 paragaraphs supporting thier theme of "The Heyday of the Blood." This is the what-how statement developed into their IP of S (important or interesting part of the subject).

Students should continue to review/study the definitions for "The Elements of the short story." We will have mulitple assessments nex week.
